More on the Club Champs finals ...... What a day, 4 seasons in one day?? ... Autumn, Winter Winter and Winter ... Man it was bitter.

The finals were all well contested, Silver finalist Irene McIvor never really looked back from a commanding lead reaching 6 up after 27 over Denise Hunt.  But seeing it whittled away to a final 2/1 result can be a wee bit nerve racking.

Bronze A winner Florence Jellard came from way behind, 5 down after 18 to Alison Riley, to be all square after 27.  Winning 4/3 was a great effort.

Raewyn Hoole had a tight wee tussle with Brenda Buckeridge in the Bronze B final to win 4/2, but only pulling away with the win in the final 9 holes.

Neville Dugan is the ONLY one of his three ragbag mates to have his name on a cup ... Good effort with a 4/3 win over Peter Smith in the Junior B's.  Nev will most likely chide Terry and Balls for some months to come on this one.

Barry Wallace came away with a defended Junior title winning over Lindsay Siegel 6/5.  Lindsay struggled against a consistent showing from Barry.

Likewise, Ross Jellard defended his Intermediate trophy with a 5/4 win over Terry Garnett.  Terry ended up coming second in a chip and putt contest in the afternoon.  Ross's experience giving him an edge - this time round.

Mike Karl was always going to be too strong for Rhys Burnett in the Senior final.  Firing 68 in the morning put the pressure onto Rhys, 7 down.  Rhys hit his stride in the afternoon, but could do little to reverse the deficit to go down 8/6 in the end  Rhys was 2 under in the afternoon when the match ended.
