Putaruru Golf Club Report for Insertion in the South Waikato News Wednesday 28 June 2006.

Men's Report
This week we start with a hole in one by Rachel Young starting on the 10th in Saturday’s mid winter Christmas open tournament.  Rachel drolly suggested that starting this group of ladies on the 10th would result in another Margaret Ranger hole in one … Well that was not to be, but when Captain Ding heard a cacophony of animated pandemonium from the tee, the unimaginable had indeed happened and it was Rachel Young being congratulated by all and sundry for a splendid first up shot for the round … by the way, she also won the closest to the pin … take that!

If you could have picked a day for our tournament, Saturday was it after what had been served up, weather-wise, over the last week … absolutely superific!
